Working with our own direct importer we source small-batch cheese, charuterie, chocolates, truffle-based condiments, etc from around the world, bringing it all to the North Fork.

A Love Lane staple for over 14 years, The Village Cheese Shop brings a taste of Europe to Mattituck, the heart of Long Island’s storied wine country on the North Fork of Long Island. Gathered from the far reaches of Europe and throughout the Americas are a vast selection of over 150 cheeses and accompaniments.
Open year-round, clients and guests enjoy a cultivated variety of beautiful cut-to-order cheeses and platters to delight in within the comforts of their own home. For a special everyday treat, guests can choose from a selection of house-made fondues and cheesemonger-select cheese pairings complete with the perfect glass of wine in the sun-drenched greenhouse.
Founded in 2001 by Rosemary Batcheller, The Village Cheese Shop was recently purchased by Michael Affatato, cheese connoisseur and wine expert. The native Long Islander and Franco-American will be ushering the venerable shop forward with a wider selection of cheese products and specialty goods. Customers can look forward to continuing to find beloved classics like Tom Cat Bakery’s French baguettes, Charlito’s Cocina sausages, and Epoisses Berthaut.
